UPSC IFS Prelims Result 2025 is OUT @upsc.gov.in on 11 June, 2025! The Union Public Service Commission has announced the IFS Prelims Result & Merit List PDF for the Indian Forest Services (Preliminary) Examination conducted on 25th May, 2025. Now, the shortlisted candidates who have cleared the Prelims will be appearing for the IFS Mains 2025, scheduled to be held from 16 November, 2025 onwards. 

Previously, the IFS final Result and Merit List PDF was declared for candidates who has appeared for the IFS Examination conducted from 24 November to 1 December, 2024 followed by the Interview-Personality Test conducted from 21 April to 2 May, 2025. As per the final IFS Result 2024-25, Kanika Anabh had secured All India Rank 1 in the UPSC IFS (2024) Recruitment. A total of 143 candidates were recommended for appointment in the Indian Forest Services in the last cycle. UPSC IFS Prelims Result 2025 OUT!

The Union Public Service Commission has announced the Prelims Result of Indian Forest Services Examination on 11 June, 2025, along with the roll number wise Merit List PDF of shortlisted candidates. The IFS Result 2025 name wise list will be released later along with the Prelims marks, cut off and answer key for the Indian Forest Services (Preliminary) Examination conducted on 25 May, 2025. Along with the merit list, the application window dates for the DAF-1 form for IFS Mains is also OUT. Candidates can submit their application forms for IFS Mains 2025 from 16th to 25th June, 2025 on the official UPSC OTR portal. 

UPSC IFS (Mains) Result 2024-25

A total of 143 have been recommended for appointment under various categories vis a vis 150 vacancies. Kanika Anbh from Ranchi has secured AIR 1 in the IFS Exam, followed by Khandelwal Anand Anilkumar and Anubhav Singh, who have secured AIR 2 and AIR 3 respectively.

Important Details Present in UPSC IFS Result 2025

Candidates must check the PDF of the UPSC indian forest service Result carefully. If a candidate finds any mistake in the Result, the commission should be informed immediately. Candidates should keep the following points in mind while checking the UPSC IFS Result. 

• Personal Information: Candidates should check the spelling of their name, parent's name, guardian's name, date of birth, and more.

How To Calculate UPSC IFS Marks 2025?

The candidates appearing for the UPSC IFS exam can calculate their marks by referring to the answer key and marking scheme decided by the commission. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to calculate their marks in the exam. 

Step 1: Download the UPSC IFS answer key from the official website. 

Step 2: Compare your answers to the ones on the answer key. 

Step 3: Add 01 marks for every correctly answered question. 

Step 4: Deduct ⅓ marks for every wrongly answered question as per the UPSC IFS Exam Pattern

Step 5: Once you are done with this process, calculate your total to get the expected score in the exam.

How to Challenge UPSC IFS Result?

The results declared by UPSC for IFS recruitment cannot be legally challenged. As per the rules, the final evaluation and decision regarding selection of candidates is solely at the discretion of the Commission. If a candidate feels that there has been factual, procedural or some other error regarding the result, he/she may represent it to the UPSC through a formal representation application. However, the Commission only takes cognizance of clerical or administrative mistakes, and not disputes over subjective evaluation of answers or decision-making process. Thus, practically there is no provision to formally challenge the UPSC IFS exam result in a court of law.

What Next After the UPSC IFS Result 2025?

After the UPSC IFS Result is declared, shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for the next stage of the recruitment process, which is the Mains examination, scheduled to be held from 16 November, 2025 onwards. Candidates will be declared qualified in the UPSC IFS Prelims Result on a qualifying basis. The final UPSC IFS Result will be calculated based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Prelims, Mains exam and the Interview/Personality Test. 

Prior to this, they should apply again in the Detailed Application Form (DAF) for Foreign Services Interview. The application window will be available only on the official website of UPSC. The candidates should submit the DAF (CSM) prior to the closing date and save the same for future reference. The indian forest service result will include the marks secured by the candidates in the prelims, mains and interview phase.
