वेब मोटाई:
(i) शुरुवात में वेब मोटाई को 6 mm (यदि रंजित है) या 8 mm (यदि रंजित नहीं है)के रुप में माना जाता हैै।
उपयोगिता आवश्यकता के आधार पर न्यूनतम वेब मोटाई:
IS 800:2007 के CI. 8.6.1 के अनुसार,
(i)जब अनुप्रस्थ दृढ़कारी प्रदान नहीं किए जाते हैं और वेब दोनों अनुदैर्ध्य किनारों के साथ फ्लैंज से जुड़ा होता है,
(ii)जब अनुप्रस्थ दृढ़कारी प्रदान नहीं किए जाते हैं और वेब केवल एक अनुदैर्ध्य किनारे के साथ फ्लैंग से जुड़ा होता है।
