In a recent update, Google has now extended Gemini’s support in Docs. Android users would now be able to access the chatbot while working on documents. Users would be able to summarize what’s written in the document, or seek new insights and key information additions that can enhance the quality of the document. Gemini in Docs would be available on Android in 20+ languages. The new feature would be available for workplace users only through Google Workplace Business Plan.
This new inclusion would allow users to work in a streamlined manner and have the ease of seeking support whenever necessary within the document. Users would not have to download separate applications for help in building content. The Gemini support would be available to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise ( standard and Plus) users. Gemini Education & Gemini Education Plus users would be able to receive the update on docs if they use an android interface.
Ability To Summarize long texts
With the new features users would be able to summarize long research reports and documents into a short summary without the need to reading the whole document. Beyond that once Gemini gains awareness of such a document users can raise queries with the chatbot regarding the document. This could be a valueable feature that would allow easy revision before meetings.
The features can further help the user churn out rough drafts with prompts and further work on the plan.
Scheduled Actions
It was last week that Gemini had received a new feature dubbed as the scheduled action on android, the feature was reserved for Gemini pro and ultra. The feature would allow users to easily set daily tasks or reminders enabling Gemini to remind you about it. Users would be able to ask Gemini to share the morning news with them every morning.
